‘Infinity Pool’ Trailer: Mia Goth Leads Alexander Skarsgard Into A Hedonistic Underworld In Brandon Cronenberg’s Latest

Yesterday, Sundance revealed its opening slate of films for the 2023 film festival, and one of the most anticipated on that list was Brandon Cronenberg’s Infinity Pool. The son of David Cronenberg made quite an impact there in 2020 with the trippy thriller Possessor, which more than lived up to the Cronenberg name. And judging by the wild shit seen in this new trailer, Brandon’s latest will, too.

Starring Alexander Skarsgard, Cleopatra Coleman, and the best horror actress in the world (in my opinion) Mia Goth, the film follows a vacationing couple who are led into a violent, hedonistic subculture that they might never return from.

Jalil Lespert, Thomas Kretschmann, Amanda Brugel, Caroline Boulton, and John Ralston co-star, with Cronenberg also on the script.

Infinity Pool opens on January 27th following its Sundance world premiere. It was given an early NC-17 rating but was recut to earn an ‘R’, so you know Cronenberg is really going to bring it this time.

While staying at an isolated island resort James and Em are enjoying a perfect vacation of pristine beaches, exceptional staff, and soaking up the sun. But guided by the seductive and mysterious Gabi, they venture outside the resort grounds and find themselves in a culture filled with violence, hedonism, and untold horror. A tragic accident leaves them facing a zero tolerance policy for cimre: either you’ll be executed, or, if you’re rich enough to afford it, you can watch yourself die instead.
