‘Seesaw Monster’: Anne Hathaway & Salma Hayek To Star In Netflix Action-Comedy From ‘Bullet Train’ Author

Now might be a good time to start getting familiar with the work of author Kōtarō IsakaHis book Maria Beetle was recently adapted into one of the biggest films of the year, Bullet Train. And now Isaka’s next novel, Seesaw Monster, is becoming an action-comedy at Netflix with two big stars attached.

According to THR, Anne Hathaway and Salma Hayek will co-star and co-produce a Seesaw Monster adaptation at Netflix. Olivia Milch will pen the screenplay about a pair of rivals who must join forces. No other plot details are available, but a two-hander action-comedy led by Hathaway and Hayek sounds like a blast.

Hayek is no stranger to action-comedies, having starred in two Hitman’s Bodyguard movies along with loads of others. She’ll be seen next in Magic Mike’s Last Dance. Hathaway can be seen right now in Armageddon Time.

This is still pretty early on as a director has yet to be named. But with this much talent already attached, and source material from an author who is a proven success, expect this to move forward quickly.
