‘God Of War’ Live-Action Series On The Way To Amazon Prime Video

Sony’s Playstation Studios is still feelin’ itself after the success of Uncharted, and now are set to bring their biggest game franchise to Amazon Prime Video. Deadline reports that Playstation’s flagship game God of War is being developed as a live-action series.

That’s right. Kratos is coming to streaming.

The God of War series is coming from The Expanse creators Hawk Ostby and Mark Fergus. And given the level of detail they were able to bring to that sci-fi show, expect more of the same as they create the land of Greek mythology, where Kratos, ex-Spartan warrior, sets out to defeat the God of War, Ares.  Osby and Fergus also did that incredible world building on Children of Men, earning themselves an Oscar nomination. They also co-wrote Iron Man. The Wheel of Time executive producer/showrunner Rafe Judkins is part of this deal, too.

Add this to the pile of tv shows based on video games, including Halo, Fallout, The Last of Us, Twisted Metal, and Resident Evil.
