Oscar Isaac Is Going Crazy In New ‘Moon Knight’ Super Bowl Spot

It’s turning out to be a busy Super Bowl for the folks at Marvel Studios. Following the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer, we’re also being treated to a new look at Moon Knight, with Oscar Isaac as the mentally broken Marvel vigilante. In this footage, we see Isaac’s mild-mannered Steven Grant devolving further into chaos, unable to tell his dreams/nightmares from reality. Is he also the brutal mercenary Marc Spector? And who is out there in the white Egyptian robes exacting lethal justice on criminals with crescent-shaped weapons?

Moon Knight is already shaping up to be the darkest, most violent Marvel project ever. Kevin Feige himself recently told Empire

“He’s brutal. It’s been fun to work with Disney+ and see the boundaries shifting on what we’re able to do. There are moments [in the series] when Moon Knight is wailing on another character, and it is loud and brutal, and the knee-jerk reaction is, ‘We’re gonna pull back on this, right?’ No. We’re not pulling back. There’s a tonal shift. This is a different thing. This is Moon Knight.”

Disney+ will begin streaming Moon Knight on March 30th, and it runs for six episodes.

The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.
