‘Men’ Teaser Trailer: Jessie Buckley Stars In Alex Garland’s Mysterious New Horror Film

After years as a screenwriter on such films as 28 Days Later, Sunshine, and Dredd, Alex Garland broke out as a director with 2014’s Ex Machina. He followed that up with 2018’s Annihilation, and the FX series Devs, but what’s become clear is that Garland is good for a new movie about every four years. And it’s that time, because A24 has just dropped the teaser for his mysteriously-titled horror, Men.

So what’s Men about? The plot has been kept a secret, and the synopsis doesn’t help…

A young woman goes on a solo vacation in the English countryside after the death of her ex-husband.

That’s quite intentionally vague, isn’t it? That woman, however, is played by newly-minted Oscar nominee Jessie Buckley, coming off her performance in The Lost Daughter. Also in the cast are No Time to Die‘s Rory Kinnear and I May Destroy You‘s Paapa Essiedu.

Men has yet to be given a release date but expect A24 to change that soon.
