‘Red One’: Chris Evans Joins Dwayne Johnson In Amazon’s Holiday Action Flick

The window of opportunity to see Chris Evans and Dwayne Johnson together in the MCU has passed. But there are plenty of huge films out there that can team up the superheroic duo, and the first is Amazon’s upcoming holiday action flick, Red One.

Not to be confused with Red Notice, Johnson’s recent Netflix blockbuster, Red One has a secret plot set during the holidays. We do know it’ll be a reunion between Johnson and his Jumanji director Jake Kasdan, and Hobbs & Shaw writer Chris Morgan. What do we know about those films? Big budget teamup-style action-comedies, which sounds perfect for Evans to slide into.

Coming up for Evans is Netflix’s mega-expensive film The Gray Man. He was last seen in a really fun cameo in Don’t Look Up, so keep an eye out for him there. He’ll also take on the title voice role in Lightyear, Pixar’s Toy Story spinoff. [Deadline]
