‘The Book Of Boba’ Fett Teaser Gets You Ready For An Underworld Power Struggle

Some sites are calling this 30-second spot for The Book of Boba Fett a trailer, but that’s insane. This brief bit of footage focuses on Temuera Morrison, back suited up as the Mandalorian legend, and Ming-Na Wen as assassin Fennec Shand.

What we see is that Boba Fett has different plans for how he’ll rule Tatooine’s criminal underworld in the wake of Jabba the Hutt’s death.  Choosing respect rather than fear might sound good, but it invites others to want to move in and challenge Fett’s leadership. Expect the bulk of the series to center on the power struggle that will erupt.

Details on the casting have remained scarce, but we have seen Jennifer Beals playing a twi’lek of some stature. That’s about all we know. Robert Rodriguez has directed several of the episodes, along with Bryce Dallas Howard, Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and more.

The Book of Boba Fett debuts on Disney+ beginning December 29th and will run for seven episodes.
