Netflix Finally Announces ‘Enola Holmes’ Sequel With Millie Bobby Brown And Henry Cavill Returning

Well it’s about time! I was beginning to think we would need to send out Sherlock Holmes himself to detect why Netflix hadn’t already greenlit a sequel to Enola Holmes. The charming film that had Millie Bobby Brown as Sherlock’s brilliant younger sister was one of last year’s true joys, especially during the height of the pandemic, and now we know her story will continue.

Not only will Millie Bobby Brown return as Enola Holmes, but Henry Cavill is back as her more famous brother, Sherlock.  Sam Claflin played the stuffy Mycroft Holmes, while Helena Bonham Carter was Enola’s rebellious mother. So far it seems neither is coming back.

Harry Bradbeer will return to direct, along with writer Jack Thorne. Shooting is tentatively set to begin at the end of the year.

Here’s what Brown had to say…

“I can’t wait to collaborate again with my Enola Holmes family! Enola holds a special place in my heart – she’s strong, fearless, intelligent and brave. I look forward to fans seeing how her journey continues!”
