‘Luca’ Trailer: Jacob Tremblay And Jack Dylan Grazer Join Pixar’s Summer Story Of Friendship And Sea Monsters

It’s cold, most of us have been stuck indoors for the better part of a year. So how about a trip to the warm, exotic Italian Riviera, courtesy of Pixar? Luca, the latest from Disney’s beloved animation studio takes us through one amazing summer shared by a boy and his best friend, a sea monster disguised as a teenage human.

Until now we were unaware of the voice cast, but the latest trailer reveals Jacob Tremblay as the voice of Luca, with Jack Dylan Grazer as his sea monster pal. Grazer should be familiar with the locale, having starred in Luca Guadagnino’s HBO series We Are Who We Are which looks pretty much the same minus the sea creature.

Maya Rudolph, Jim Gaffigan, and Emma Berman lend their voices, as well.

Directed by Enrico Casarosa, Luna opens on June 18th.

Set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera, the original animated feature is a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta, and endless scooter rides.  Luca shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: he is a sea monster from another world just below the water’s surface.
