‘Black Adam’ Casts Marwan Kenzari As Villain Opposite Dwayne Johnson

It’s been a good couple of years for Marwan Kenzari. After turning heads as the Jafar so hot you wanted to root for him in Disney’s Aladdin, to having a surprisingly soulful role in Netflix’s The Old Guard, now Kenzari may have landed the villain role in Black Adam opposite Dwayne Johnson.

THR reports Kenzari is in talks to star in Black Adam, with The Wrap’s Umberto Gonzalez confirming it’ll be the villain role. The film will star Dwayne Johnson as the DC Comics antihero, who typically plays antagonist to Shazam. It’ll be interesting to see who Kenzari turns out to be in this.

The rest of the cast includes Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, and Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, all members of the Justice Society. Jaume Collet-Serra will be behind the camera, but the film has yet to gain a release date. Expect that to change soon.
