Armie Hammer has done a lot in his career, but romantic comedies are still fairly new to him. Good thing he has a veteran in Jennifer Lopez to guide him in the action rom-com, Shotgun Wedding, which both will be starring in for Lionsgate.
Deadline says Hammer and J-Lo will team up for Shotgun Wedding, to be directed by Pitch Perfect helmer Jason Moore. The story follows an engaged couple as they meet their opinionated families for a destination wedding. But on top of having cold feet, the celebration is ruined when the entire wedding party is taken hostage.
Lopez has really hit her stride again, having recently earned raves for her performance in Hustlers. She’ll be seen next in rom-com Marry Me opposite Owen Wilson. Of course, she has an armload of rom-coms to her credit already, including The Back-Up Plan, The Wedding Planner, and Maid in Manhattan. Hammer can be seen right now in Ben Wheatley’s remake of Rebecca, which is sortof an anti-rom-com.
