I’ve been waiting for this one, and I have a feeling some of you have been to. Jiu Jitsu. The name alone tells you there is going to be a lot of martial arts insanity, but damn, you have no idea just how insane. Because not only is this film about a guy who learns how to fight off alien invasion through a special fighting technique, but that guy is played by none other than Nicolas Cage.
Damn. Gimme all of this shit right now.
So yeah, we’ve got Nicolas Cage doing kung fu and shit. And he’s joined by a cast of badasses like Alain Moussi (Kickboxer: Vengeance), Frank Grillo (Captain America: Civil War), Tony Jaa (Triple Threat), Rick Yune (The Man with the Iron Fists), Juju Chan (Wu Assassins), and Marie Avgeropoulos (The 100).
I mean, look at this synopsis! It’s the synopsis of a future Best Picture contender, my friends.
“An ancient order of Jiu Jitsu fighters faces a vicious race of alien invaders in an epic battle for the survival of Earth.”
The film is directed by Dimitri Logothetis, the guy responsible for the successful Kickboxer sequels of the last few years.
Jiu Jitsu hits select theaters and VOD on November 20th and I can’t wait!
