‘Falcon And The Winter Soldier’ Adds ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ Actor Danny Ramirez

While the series has been delayed due to the pandemic, Marvel’s Disney+ series Falcon and the Winter Soldier is close to wrapping up production. And yet there’s still time for one more “pivotal” role to be filled, and it’s been taken by Top Gun: Maverick and Valley Girl actor Danny Ramirez.

THR has the news on Ramirez’s joining the cast of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, although there are no details on his role. Ramirez also starred in the Netflix series On My Block and appeared in one of my favorite indies, Assassination Nation.  We should have already seen him in Top Gun: Maverick by now, but due to it being bumped to next summer it’s possible Ramirez will make his MCU debut first.

Ramirez joins Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan who reprise their roles as Falcon and Bucky from the Marvel flicks, with the story likely to settle who will carry on the mantle of Captain America.  Also in the cast are Emily VanCamp who returns as Sharon “Agent 13” Carter, Daniel Bruhl returns as Baron Zemo, and Wyatt Russell plays John Walker aka USAgent, the aggressively violent (and very conservative) government-sanctioned version of Captain America.
