‘Fast And Furious: Spy Racers’ Season 2 Trailer: Tony Toretto Takes The Action To Rio

It’s been a long time between Hobbs & Shaw and the next Fast & Furious film. By the time F9 arrives in 2021 it will have been two years, and even longer since we’ve seen Dominic Toretto and his team pull off ridiculous heists, thwart world destruction, and use muscle cars to defy the laws of gravity. But the franchise hasn’t been dormant. Filling the gap has been Netflix’s animated series Fast and Furious: Spy Racers, which has just dropped a new trailer for the upcoming second season.

The further adventures of Dom’s cousin Tony Toretto, who is following in the family business with an international mission to Rio to rescue a missing friend and thwart an evil plan by an organization hiding with an elite racing league.

Yep, this is Fast and Furious, alright!

The series is exec-produced by franchise vets Neal Mortiz, Chris Morgan, and Diesel himself. The voice cast includes Tyler Posey (Teen Wolf) as Tony Toretto, Charlet Chung (Chuck) as Echo, Luke Youngblood (Community) as Frostee Benson, Jorge Diaz (Jane the Virgin) as Cisco Renaldo, Camille Ramsey (American Vandal) as Layla Gray, Renée Elise Goldsberry (Waves) as Ms. Nowhere, and Avrielle Corti (Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts) as Rafaela.

Fast and Furious: Spy Racers returns for season 2 on Netflix on October 9th. I’m guessing it’s not a coincidence the trailer drops on the same day as Diesel’s debut single?
