Marvel’s ‘Vision’ Series Adds ‘Star Trek: Picard’ Actor Todd Stashwick

With Agatha All Along set to hit Disney+ in a couple of weeks, news is beginning to trickle in about the next WandaVision spinoff, an untitled Vision series starring Paul Bettany. We already know that James Spader will be reprising his role as Ultron, but now THR reports on another addition to the cast, someone who knows showrunner Terry Matalas quite well.

Todd Stashwick has joined the Vision cast in an unspecified role. Stashwick had a key role in Matalas’ Star Trek: Picard season 3 as Captain Liam Shaw. He also starred in Matalas’ 12 Monkeys series, so it’s clear these two have a blast working together.

The report says something interesting, suggesting that Spader might be playing a human version of Ultron, which he did in the comics when he and Hank Pym became merged. So Spader might not simply be voicing Ultron, but physically playing him, as well. Or perhaps they’ll have Spader do the voice and Stashwick do the physical stuff?

The series will follow White Vision, who was created by SWORD during the WandaVision series. Made out of Vision’s spare parts, he is initially sent in to kill the Vision of Scarlet Witch’s creation, but begins to question his programming after being confronted with a paradox.

Casting seems to be happening fast, so we could see Vision sometime in 2026.
