‘Sinners’: Michael B. Jordan Takes On A Dual Role In Ryan Coogler’s Vampire Film

Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan have a long history of working together, ever since Fruitvale Station in 2013, through the Creed films and of course, Black Panther. Their success made the announcement of a vampire film a hot commodity around Hollywood, although many of the details have been kept top secret. Well, the secret is finally out with the debut of the film’s first trailer and the long-awaited title reveal: Sinners.

As rumored, Jordan is taking on dual roles in Sinners. He plays twin brothers who return home to start over, only to find that something sinister is waiting for them. The film also stars fellow Marvel alums Hailee Steinfeld and Wunmi Mosaku, along with Delroy Lindo, Jayme Lawson, Li Jun Li, Omar Benson Miller, Lola Kirke, and Jack O’Connell as the villain.

Here is the official synopsis: From Ryan Coogler—director of “Black Panther” and “Creed”—and starring Michael B. Jordan comes a new vision of fear: “Sinners.” Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back. “You keep dancing with the devil, one day he’s gonna follow you home.”

Coogler not only directed, he wrote the screenplay and produced. Warner Bros. acquired the project after a hotly-contested bidding war.

Sinners opens in theaters March 7th 2025.
