NEON is going all-in with the hype for the acclaimed body horror, Together, and why shouldn’t they with many critics proclaiming it the horror event of the summer? You can count me among those who sing the film’s praises. And now the second trailer this month, the “final” one apparently, has arrived for the latest pairing of real-life couple Alison Brie and Dave Franco.
Together really leans on Brie and Franco’s chemistry, as the film centers on a longtime couple who leave the city for the countryside, leaving them utterly dependent on one another to a horrifying degree.
The film is directed by Michael Shanks from his own screenplay. Also in the cast are Damon Herriman and Mia Morrissey.
SYNOPSIS: Years into their relationship, Tim and Millie (Dave Franco and Alison Brie) find themselves at a crossroads as they move to the country, abandoning all that is familiar in their lives except each other. With tensions already flaring, a nightmarish encounter with a mysterious, unnatural force threatens to corrupt their lives, their love, and their flesh.
Together opens in theaters on July 30th, and it’s the kind of film you want to see with a bunch of friends late at night. So don’t miss it!
