‘One Of Them Days’ Trailer: Keke Palmer And SZA’s Buddy Comedy Looks Like The Next ‘Friday’

Could we be looking at the next Friday with One of Them Days? Set over the course of 24 hours, the comedy stars Keke Palmer and musician SZA in her acting debut, playing best friends just trying to avoid eviction and keep their friendship intact. It proves to be a hilariously difficult task.

Just based on the buddy-comedy vibe, One of Them Days is looking like a box office sleeper and a crowd-pleasing favorite. The film is directed by Lawrence Lamont, from a script by Insecure writer Syreeta Singleton.

The cast is great, too, with Palmer and SZA joined by Lil Rel Howery, Janelle James, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Keyle Moterroso, Maude Apatow, Katt Williams, Joshua Neal, Aziza Scott, Patrick Cage, Amin Joseph, Gabrielle Dennis, and Dewayne Perkins. Issa Rae is aboard as producer.

SYNOPSIS: Best friends and roommates Dreux (Keke Palmer) and Alyssa (SZA) are about to have One of Them Days. When they discover Alyssa’s boyfriend has blown their rent money, the duo finds themselves going to extremes in a comical race against the clock to avoid eviction and keep their friendship intact.

Sony releases One of Them Days in theaters on January 24th 2025. Looks like a blast.
