‘Time Cut’ Trailer: A Teen Goes Back In Time To Stop Her Sister’s Murder In Netflix’s Time Travel Slasher Film

Time travel movies and slasher flicks, both could use a bit of freshening up with a different formula. So how about combining the two? That’s what you get with Time Cut, which looks like it sprang from the mind of Christopher Landon, whose Happy Death Day and Totally Killer films merged the genres perfectly. While this isn’t Landon’s movie, the fact he’s aboard as a producer is an endorsement we can trust.

Time Cut is directed by Hannah Macpherson, who co-wrote the script with Michael Kennedy, a writer on Landon’s body-swapping horror comedy Freaky. So that’s more good news. The film stars Madison Bailey as a teen girl who goes back in time to stop her sister from being murdered.

Others in the cast include Antonia Gentry, Michael Shanks, and Griffin Gluck. Shot in 2021, it features cinematography by Halyna Hutchins, who sadly became famous for being killed on the set of Rust soon after. In an odd coincidence, that scandal-plagued Western today landed its world premiere at the Camerimage International Film Festival in Poland in November.

Anyway, back to Time Cut. Netflix plans to release the film on October 30th!
