Some might think that Peter Dinklage’s stature would limit the roles he gets offered. Well, think again, because I don’t know if there’s an actor who takes on as many diverse roles in surprising films. This year alone he’s got The Toxic Avenger remake (is that ever coming out, or what??) and his passion project, the brutal Western film The Thicket. But that’s not all Dinklage has, because in the new comedy Brothers he goes on a road trip with Josh Brolin.
As seen in the first trailer for Brothers, Dinklage and Brolin play siblings, one an ex-criminal trying to go straight who has his plans foiled by the other who ropes him into one last score.
The film is directed by Max Barbakow, who directed Andy Samberg to his best role yet in Palm Springs. The script is by Macon Blair, the Blue Ruin actor who Dinklage worked with on both The Thicket and The Toxic Avenger. Also in the star-studded cast are Taylour Paige, Glenn Close, Marisa Tomei, Brendan Fraser, and M. Emmet Walsh.
SYNOPSIS: Brothers tells the story of a reformed criminal (Josh Brolin) whose attempt at going straight is derailed when he reunites with his sanity-testing twin brother (Peter Dinklage) on a cross-country road trip for the score of a lifetime. Dodging bullets, the law, and an overbearing mother along the way, they must heal their severed family bond before they end up killing each other.
Brothers hits Prime Video on October 17th.
