Jacob Elordi had a tremendous 2023, and that was without a single episode of Euphoria, the HBO series that served as his breakout. He can be seen right now in Saltburn, as well as crime thriller He Went That Way, and he played Elvis Presley in Priscilla just a few months ago, and be seen next in Sean Price Williams’ buzzy The Sweet East. But now Elordi will get to work with Guillermo Del Toro for the first time by joining the cast of his upcoming Frankenstein movie.
Variety reports Elordi has joined the live-action Frankenstein cast, which has a confirmed lineup of Oscar Isaac, Mia Goth, Christopher Waltz, and other recent additions Felix Kammerer (All Quite On the Western Front), Lars Mikkelsen (Ahsoka), David Bradley (Del Toro’s Pinocchio), and Christian Convery (Sweet Tooth).
Missing from the list? Andrew Garfield, who is being replaced by Elordi as the movie monster. Garfield’s departure has to do with scheduling conflicts caused by the recent strikes, a problem we’ve seen impact several productions.
Elordi is currently shooting Paul Schrader’s upcoming film Oh, Canada alongside Richard Gere and Uma Thurman. He’ll be seen next in
It’s unclear when we’ll see Del Toro’s Frankenstein, but when we do it’ll be available in both theaters and Netflix.
