Keanu Reeves Eyes Role In James Wan’s ‘The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil’ Alongside Don Lee

Earlier this year, we learned of James Wan’s plan to remake the Korean crime thriller The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil, joined by original star Don Lee. Now, THR reports Lee might be having some company, as Keanu Reeves is in talks to join him.

Reeves is in negotiations to join Lee in The Gangster, the Cop, the Devil. The film is set up at Paramount and follows a cop and a gangster who must join forces to stop a serial killer. Each has their own reasons for teaming up, but they face blowback from their many enemies.

Lee is returning to the role he played before, that of Jang Dong-soo, which presumably puts Reeves in the role of the cop, who joins him in seeking revenge.

Eric Pearson (Thunderbolts) is writing the latest script draft, following earlier versions by Shay Hatten (Army of the Dead) and Brian Helgeland (LA Confidential).

Coming up for Reeves is a return as Shadow in Sonic the Hedgehog 4. He’s also expected to suit up as John Wick in a fifth movie, and might also show up in Donnie Yen’s Caine spinoff, just as he did in Ballerina last year.
