Prime Video’s hulking nomad of justice is back to heat up the summer. Alan Ritchson returns in Reacher season 4, which adapts the 13th book in Lee Child’s series, 2009’s Gone Tomorrow. The first trailer debuted today at, where else, San Diego Comic-Con, promising an exit from the rural investigations and right into crime-riddled New York City.
The series kicks off when Reacher encounters a distraught woman on a Manhattan subway train. Pegging her as a potential suicide bomber, Reacher confronts her, only for the situation to end tragically. While the police are quick to brush aside the tragedy, Reacher digs further and is pulled into a vast conspiracy involving political power players, federal agents, and more. No simple backwoods town sheriff or local thugs are involved this time; Reacher will have to go underground and use more than his muscles to get out of this jam.
Joining the cast for season 4 are Chris Marquette, Sydelle Noel, AGNEZ MO, Anggun, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, Kevin Corrigan, and Kathleen Robertson.
Of course, Maria Sten will also return as Reacher’s confidante and private investigator, Frances Neagley, setting the stage for her spinoff series later this year.
Fans won’t even have to wait long. Reacher will hit Prime Video with the first three episodes on August 12, with weekly episodes until September 16th. That’s also the date of the first episode of Neagley.
