In both True Blood and Daredevil: Born Again, Deborah Ann Woll has faced her share of bloody crime scenes and supernatural terrors. She’ll face both in The Cycle, a new film from director Jordan Downey (The Head Hunter) that will hit Shudder on October 23rd.
As seen in the new trailer, The Cycle stars Woll as a woman who learns that the body of a man found at a crime scene is actually that of her long-estranged father, missing for over three decades. It’s up to her to uncover the truth about what happened, but she’ll have to face a supernatural nightmare to do it.
Downey directs from a screenplay by Kevin Stewart. Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice) is also in the cast. Obsession producer James Harris is also on board.
Harris said about The Cycle, “We are so excited about The Cycle; Jordan has crafted such an original story that is gonna excite audiences. For us he has the ability to be the next great genre filmmaker and we can’t wait to make the movie.”
