Early on, with Close Encounters of the Third Kind and E.T., Steven Spielberg expressed his interest in the arrival of aliens to our world. That fascination continued with War of the Worlds, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, and now with Disclosure Day, which is poised to be one of the biggest movies of the summer.
Universal Pictures debuted a final trailer for Steven Spielberg’s anticipated sci-fi summer blockbuster, Disclosure Day. The film stars Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colman Domingo, Colin Firth, and Eve Hewson, with a script by Jurassic Park writer David Koepp.
Here’s the synopsis: If you found out we weren’t alone, if someone showed you, proved it to you, would that frighten you? This summer, the truth belongs to seven billion people. We are coming close to…Disclosure Day.
O’Connor’s character, Daniel Kellner, is a whistleblower looking to expose the truth, painting him as an Edward Snowden-esque figure.
The truth is out there, and we don’t have long to wait for it. Disclosure Day hits theaters on June 12th.
