‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Trailer: Meryl Streep Gives Anne Hathaway The Cold Shoulder In Icy Reunion

Twenty years later, and fashion still has the power to bring people together. The gang is all here for The Devil Wears Prada 2, a sequel to the 2006 comedy that became a global phenomenon. 20th Century Studios has dropped the latest trailer, featuring Meryl Streep in her popular role as the infamous Miranda, who apparently can’t remember Andy (Anne Hathaway) at all.

More likely, Miranda is being her typically dismissive self towards Andy, her former employee at Runway Magazine who has gone off and made it big on her own.  Andy doesn’t get any love from her ex-workplace rival, Emily (Emily Blunt), either. Kinda makes for an icy environment to work in.

The adaptation of Lauren Weisberger’s sequel novel also returns director David Frankel and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna. Stanley Tucci returns from the original movie, as well, along with some new faces such as Sydney Sweeney, Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, Kenneth Branagh, BJ Novak, Justin Theroux, Rachel Bloom and Lady Gaga.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 hits theaters on May 1st.
