‘Rosemead’ Trailer: Lucy Liu Takes On Her Most Daring Role Yet In Eric Lin’s Emotional Family Drama

Early buzz from Tribeca for Lucy Liu’s performance in Rosemead is that she is at her career best in the film, the directorial debut of cinematographer Eric Lin. Based on an incredible true story, it finds Liu as an ailing mother in a race against time to protect her troubled son, who is given to violent urges.

Rosemead also stars Lawrence Shou, Orion Lee, Jennifer Lim, Madison Hu and James Chen. Lin directs from a screenplay by Marilyn Fu.

Based on this trailer, it looks like a sensitive, if harrowing, portrait of a Chinese-American family in crisis.

SYNOPSIS: Inspired by a harrowing true story, Lucy Liu transforms in a riveting,
