‘Anemone’ Trailer: Daniel Day-Lewis’ Acting Return Premieres This Month At NYFF, Opens In October

You know how some actors have credits a mile long, starring in multiple movies each year? That’s not Daniel Day-Lewis, arguably the greatest actor of this generation. You’re lucky to get one out of him per decade, and it’s always for something special. In this case, he’s coming out of “retirement” to star in his son Ronan’s directorial debut, Anemone, because how often does an opportunity like that come around?

This is a major cinematic event, and is being treated as such. Anemone will hold its world premiere later this month at the New York Film Festival.

Written by Daniel and Ronan Day-Lewis, the film also stars Sean Bean, Samantha Morton, Samuel Bottomley, and Safia Oakley-Green.

SYNOPSIS: ANEMONE explores the complex and profound ties that exist between brothers, fathers, and sons.

Focus Features will release Anemone nationwide on October 3rd.
