‘Street Fighter’ Movie Eyes Jason Momoa, Roman Reigns, Andrew Koji, And Noah Centineo

So, this news is going to dominate the rest of my day and that of most everyone in my orbit. Deadline reports that Andrew Koji, Jason Momoa, Noah Cenitineo, and WWE superstar and Head of the Table Roman Reigns (!!!) are being eyed for roles in Legendary’s Street Fighter movie. What in the Hell!?!? Yes, please!

Street Fighter, based on the greatest fighting game in history, is being co-developed by Legendary and Capcom. A couple of months ago, Bad Trip filmmaker Kitao Sakurai took over as director from Talk To Me and Bring Her Back duo Danny and Michael Philippou.

Okay, that’s great and all, but which of the World Warriors are these actors playing??? That’s what we all want to know!! Unfortunately, the report has no info on that, leaving us to speculate wildly!

Koji, best known for his roles in Snake Eyes and the series Warrior, would seem like a perfect Ryu. Ryu is like the Mario of the Super Mario games. He’s like picking James Bond when you play Goldeneye. He’s that guy. Momoa? With his build and personality he might be a fit for Akuma? Centineo doesn’t really fit as anyone, so I’m imagining him as one of the non-fighter characters who gets mixed up in the action. And as for Roman Reigns? He’s been dying for a part in a movie like this. He’d be a fit for Sagat but there’s a lot he could do. Just don’t make him M. Bison, please.

What do you think? Who do you want to see these actors play in the Street Fighter movie? The film is expected to hit theaters in March 2026, so they will need to ramp up the casting soon.
