The next step in Zendaya’s year of dominance is Dune: Part Three, the final chapter in Denis Villeneuve’s blockbuster sci-fi trilogy. Villeneuve not only dropped a new teaser with an expanded look at his latest epic, but it comes with the announcement that IMAX tickets are once again on sale after the first round sold out faster than spice at an Arrakis yard sale. I’ve heard there have been some issues with crashing websites and such, so good luck to you if you’re looking to reserve an early seat to a premium theater. Also, select IMAX theaters will begin showing the film early on December 14th.
The teaser offers small bits of new footage, including a new look at Edric the Guild Navigator, a being with the ability to see into the past, present, and future. Edric is involved in a vast conspiracy to destroy Paul Atreides, played by Timothée Chalamet.
Joining Zendaya and Chalamet are Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Isaach De Bankolé, Charlotte Rampling, Anya Taylor-Joy, Robert Pattinson, Javier Bardem, Nakoa-Wolf Momoa, and Ida Brooke.
The rapid pace at which these tickets are vanishing is proof that audiences are pumped for Dune in the way they aren’t excited for Star Wars anymore. The space opera wars have been won, and it’s hard to believe that Warner Bros. will let this be the end.
Dune: Part Three hits theaters on December 18th. Check out the trailer and a message from Villeneuve below!
