Sam Mendes’ ‘The Beatles’ Officially Casts Paul Mescal, Joseph Quinn, Barry Keoghan, & Harris Dickinson As The Legendary Band

Have moviegoers gotten bored of music biopics yet? Are they ready for one more? Actually, are they ready for four more, all released in the same month?  Sony Pictures is taking a big gamble on Sam Mendes’ movie about The Beatles. Make that MOVIES about The Beatles.

At CinemaCon, we got our first look at the cast who will be playing the legendary band. Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Harris Dickinson as John Lennon.

Here’s the gamble. Each of the four movies will be told from a different band member’s perspective, and each movie will be released into theaters in April 2028. Mendes referred to the event as “bingeable” during the presentation.

The film is in association with Apple Corps, holders of The Beatles rights. There hasn’t been a movie on the band with their full cooperation like this, and honestly, it shouldn’t happen any other way.

Filming on The Beatles begins next year.
