‘Predator: Badlands’ Trailer: Elle Fanning Enters A New World Of Hurt This November

The Predator franchise is alive and well, and we have Dan Trachtenberg to thank for it. But he’s not letting Prey be the only mark he’ll leave on this sci-fi staple. He’s also got the upcoming Hulu animated anthology, Predator: Killer of Killers. And more notably, he’s got the next live-action theatrical event, Predator: Badlands, and an amazing first teaser for it has arrived.

Predator: Badlands does something we haven’t seen very often in these movies, and that’s a human teaming up with a Predator. Elle Fanning stars in the film as Thia, who teams with a young predator exile (played by Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi) to track down the ultimate target. As we learned some time ago, the film will put the Predator in the position of being the protagonist rather than an adversary.

Trachtenberg reunites with Prey writer Patrick Aison, because breaking up a good thing would be very stupid indeed.

SYNOPSIS: Set in the future on a remote planet, where a young Predator (Schuster-Koloamatangi), outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Fanning) and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary.

20th Century Studios releases Predator: Badlands in theaters on November 7th.
