Opening this week is the new action flick, Armor, starring Jason Patric, Josh Wiggins, and screen legend Sylvester Stallone in a rare villain role. Directed by Justin Routt, the film centers on a father-and-son duo of armored truck drivers who must protect their cargo from a band of thieves, led by Stallone, who has them trapped on a rundown bridge.
Ahead of the film’s release, I had a chance to talk with star Josh Wiggins about Armor. We talked about his breakout role in the film Hellion more than a decade ago, and look at how far he’s come since with roles in Max, Greyhound, Apollo 10 1/2, and obviously, this one. Wiggins talks about his time spent with Stallone on set, but also sharing the bulk of the production alongside Patric, no slouch in the action department himself as he famously starred in Speed 2.
It was my pleasure to speak with Wiggins who continues to show his versatility as an actor. Although he’s only 26 years old, Wiggins is a veteran of this business and his maturity shows in every performance.
