‘Juror #2’ Interview: Nicholas Hoult And Toni Collette On Learning From Clint Eastwood

Clint Eastwood’s legal thriller Juror #2 (review) is playing in select theaters now, and the film, something of a departure for the legendary actor and director. It stars Nicholas Hoult as family man Justin Kemp who, while serving as a juror in a high-profile murder trial, finds himself struggling with a serious moral dilemma…one he could use to sway the jury verdict and potentially convict—or free—the accused killer. Toni Collette joins him in the cast as the aggressive prosecutor who must examine her own feelings about the justice system against her political ambitions.

For Hoult and Collette, the film marked a reunion after previously starring together in About a Boy more than twenty years ago. Of course, there was no way I could start my interview with them and not mention how great it was to see them together again. From there, we talked about the moral dilemma at the heart of Juror #2, and whether the film made them examine their thoughts about the situation. What would they do?

Also, we talked about working with Clint Eastwood, and the knowledge they were able to gain from such a legend in front of and behind the camera.

Thank you to Toni Collette and Nicholas Hoult for spending a few minutes with me for Juror #2. Check out the interview below, and please consider Subscribing to our YouTube channel!
