Sydney Sweeney Flexes Her Muscles As Boxer Christy Martin In Upcoming Biopic

There’s a reason Sydney Sweeney is the hottest star in Hollywood right now. While some have made it a point to knock her for being attractive, she’s also extremely talented and unafraid to take on challenging roles. And that includes transforming herself into boxing legend Christy Martin for David Michôd’s biopic. Now, thanks to some aggressive paparazzi, we’re getting our first look at Sweeney in the role.

Sweeney took to Instagram to share a pair of photos of her as Christy Martin, the Hall of Fame boxer who dominated the ring throughout the ’90s. She also overcame personal demons, abusive relationships, and even a murder attempt by her ex-husband. Turns out, Sweeney’s packing some sweet muscles and a really sweet mullet!

The actress’s hand was forced by journos who began snapping photos of her on set. Sweeney captioned the post, “Well the cats out of the bag thanks to some paps in bushes so here’s a little bts from my film I’m working on right now. Over the past few months, I’ve been immersed in training to bring to life the story of an incredible woman—a true champion who fought battles both inside and outside the ring. Her journey is a testament to resilience, strength, and hope, and I’m honored to step into her shoes to share her powerful story with you all. more to come soon.”

The film doesn’t even have a title yet, but with shooting underway we should see Sweeney lace up the gloves in 2025.
