‘Elevation’ Trailer: Anthony Mackie Reteams With ‘The Adjustment Bureau’ Director On Post-Apocalytpic Action Film

Vertical debuted the trailer for Elevation, a post-apocalyptic action flick starring Anthony Mackie and Morena Baccarin, just last week. And already they’ve dropped another one. You know how I feel about this sort of thing. I hate it. Fewer trailers with more time between them. You can check out the new one below. What I wrote previously is below!

Anthony Mackie and Morena Baccarin battling deadly monsters in a sci-fi setting? It sounds like a Marvel crossover with the Captain America: Brave New World and Deadpool stars, but it’s actually the plot of Elevation, a new action film coming up in November.

Directed by George Nolfi, who worked with Mackie on The Banker and The Adjustment Bureau, the apocalyptic action film Elevation centers on three people living a tough enough life in the Rocky Mountains without having to fight dinosaur-like monsters that are on the attack.

In the footage, we see Mackie and Baccarin, joined by co-star Maddie Hasson (Malignant), both as hunter and prey. The creatures, which appear to be extraterrestrials, chase them on all fours like dinosaurs from Jurassic World.

The film has a script by John Glenn (Eagle Eye), Kenny Ryan, and Jacob Roman. Mackie is listed as one of the producers.

“Working with Anthony Mackie, for a third time now, Morena Baccarin, and the rest of our exceptional cast and crew to bring this innovative screenplay to life was a blast, “ said Nolfi in a statement. “Anthony, Morena, and the rest of the team dove in head first (sometimes literally) as we shot action scenes in some extremely challenging places — from a working ski lift high in the Colorado Rockies, to an active mine under a mile of rock — all to enhance the theatrical experience of the film. We are thrilled to partner with Vertical to put this film in theaters all across the country later this year.”

SYNOPSIS: Set in the post-apocalyptic Rocky Mountains, a single father and two women venture from the safety of their homes to face monstrous creatures to save the life of a young boy.

Vertical will release Elevation exclusively in theaters on November 8th.
