Edward Berger accomplished something unexpected when All Quiet On the Western Front earned a crazy nine Oscar nominations and won four. Now he goes from the battlefield of WWI in a completely different direction with Conclave, a papal conspiracy thriller with an A-list cast.

Starring Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, Isabella Rossellini, and John Lithgow, the story takes place in the wake of the Pope’s death and a Cardinal tasked with naming his successor. But long-held secrets lead to a mystery that must be solved first.

Conclave has a script by Peter Staughan, known for writing on Our Brand is CrisisTinker Tailor Soldier Spy, and Frank.

SYNOPSIS: From director Edward Berger, CONCLAVE follows one of the world’s most secretive and ancient events – selecting a new Pope.
