Pixar Reveals ‘Toy Story 5’, Confirm ‘The Incredibles 3’, Tease ‘Inside Out’ Spinoff Series

Pixar is riding a wave of momentum right now, thanks to the record-breaking success of Inside Out 2. Last night at D23, Disney and Pixar teased (via Toonado) a huge wave of upcoming projects on the big and small screen, including Pixar’s first original series, Win or Lose.

Win or Lose streams on Disney+ beginning December 6th. The series directed, written and executive produced by Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates, and produced by David Lally, follows eight different characters – the insecure kids, their helicopter parents, even a lovesick umpire – as they prepare for a championship softball game.

The first teaser was revealed featuring the voice of Will Forte as the coach.

Back in June we learned about an Inside Out spinoff series that would go into Riley’s dreams. We now know it will be titled Dream Productions and is about the studio inside Riley’s mind where dreams really do come true thanks to acclaimed dream director Paula Persimmon (voice of Paula Pell).

The four-episode series will be written and directed by Mike Jones. Dream Productions features the voices of Richard Ayoade, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Alli Maki, Kensington Tallman, Liza Lapira, Tony Hale, Lewis Black and Phyllis Smith. It is expected to arrive in 2025.

Andrew Stanton was also on hand to talk about Toy Story 5, which he’ll be directing finally after having worked on the previous four movies. Co-directed by McKenna Harris, the film finds Buzz Lightyear, Woody, and Jessie facing a new high-tech toy that threatens to replace them all.

Toy Story 5 opens June 19th 2026.

An original Pixar film is coming in Spring 2026, and it’s Hoppers, which follows Mabel, an animal lover who seizes an opportunity to use new technology to ‘hop’ her consciousness into a life-like robotic animal: an adorable beaver.

Directed by Daniel Chong, Hoppers features the voices of Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, and Jon Hamm.

Finally, Pixar confirmed The Incredibles 3 is real and it’s happening. No release date was announced, but Brad Bird will be returning as director, which is exactly as it should be. Bird directed The Incredibles in 2004 and returned for its sequel in 2018.
