‘Out Come The Wolves’ Trailer: Missy Peregrym Fights Mother Nature And Human Nature In New Shudder Thriller

After his survival thriller Backcountry, writer/director Adam MacDonald is back with another, only this time it’s not just Mother Nature that’s to be feared, but human nature as well. Out Come the Wolves stars Missy Peregrym, and yes I know she’ll always be the girl from Stick It to you and not the girl from FBI. She’s joined in the cast by Joris Jarsky and Damon Runyan.

“Society has all of these rules, right? Nature what you see is what you get.”

As seen in the trailer, Peregrym plays a seasoned hunter who invites her childhood friend and fellow hunter to a secluded cabin in the woods to meet her fiance, a journalist. It doesn’t go well, as tension builds between the two men, blood is shed, deer are killed, and wolves look very hungry.

The screenplay was written by Enuka Okuma with the story by Jarsky, MacDonald and Okuma. Peregrym and Okuma starred together in the series Rookie Blue.

I like that this trailer isn’t giving away too much and keeping the truth of what happened at bay. Let’s hope the finished product can keep the tension high and not telegraph the ending.

There, she plans for Kyle to meet and teach her fiancé Nolan how to hunt for an article he’s writing and to share the news of their engagement. Tensions flare between Kyle and Nolan over their shared history with Sophie, escalating during the hunt that goes awry when they are ambushed by a vicious pack of territorial wolves. As alliances fracture under the pressure of survival, Sophie is forced to rely on her long-abandoned hunting prowess to face the deadly predators and save the one closest to her heart.
