‘Dune: Prophecy’ Trailer: The Bene Gesserit Rise To Power In MAX Series This November

Never fear, all of you new Dune fans thanks to Denis Villeneuve’s two amazing films on the big screen. You won’t have stay away from that universe for long, and the next time it’ll be available to stream on MAX.  A new teaser for Dune: Prophecy has arrived, based on the Sisterhood of Dune novels that chronicle of the rise of the powerful Bene Gesserit.

Set 10,000 years before the events of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune films, Dune: Prophecy stars Emily Watson as Valya Harkonnen and Olivia Williams as her sister, Tula Harkonnen, as they establish the Bene Gesserit to help rescue humanity from forces that seek to destroy it.

Created by Diane Ademu-John, the series is based on the Sisterhood of Dune novel set in the universe created by Frank Herbert. Also in the cast are Travis Fimmel, Jodhi May, Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, Shalom Brune-Franklin, Jihae, Charithra Chandran, Jessica Barden, Emma Canning, and Yerin Ha.

SYNOPSIS: From the expansive universe of “Dune,” created by acclaimed author Frank Herbert, and 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, DUNE: PROPHECY follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit. DUNE: PROPHECY is inspired by the novel SISTERHOOD OF DUNE, written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.
