‘Why Don’t You Love Me?’: Jennifer Lawrence To Star In A24’s Sci-Fi Marital Comedy

After slowing down for the last couple of years, Jennifer Lawrence is starting to get busy again. THR reports that Lawrence will star in Why Don’t You Love Me?, an adaptation of the graphic novel by Paul B. Rainey,  recently acquired by A24.

released in 2023, Why Don’t You Love Me? is a sci-fi comedy story about a married couple struggling through personal and professional troubles until they realize that their reality is not what it seems and there may be alternatives.

Robert Funke, creator of the short-lived Kirsten Dunst series On Becoming a God in Central Florida, will write the film.

The film will be a reunion between Lawrence and A24 who worked together on the terrific, under-seen drama Causeway. She is also attached to Martin Scorsese’s Frank Sinatra biopic with Leonardo DiCaprio, and recently signed on to Real Housewives crime movie The Wives.

The search is on for a director, but with Lawrence aboard that should be no problem at all.
