X-23 Returns For An Emotional Cameo In The Final ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Trailer

Let’s be honest, Deadpool & Wolverine does not need another trailer. It’s probably the most anticipated movie of 2024, and the only Marvel Studios movie of the year. But this is a team-up between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman that fans (and Reynolds for that matter) have been begging Marvel to do for years. And now it’s here. And based on this trailer, I don’t think we’re quite ready for it.

I say that because this footage hits hard emotionally, with Shawn Levy and Co. packing on the nostalgia. Focusing on Jackman’s Logan, it leans into his incredible run as the ultimate X-Men, the guy who never saw himself as a team player, the friends he’s lost, the regret he carries, and there’s even a cameo by Logan star Dafne Keen who returns as X-23. If you love Jackman’s run as Wolverine it might even bring you to tears.

The film also stars Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, Brianna Hildebrand, Matthew Macfadyen, and more cameos than we can count on two hands. Will it be Blake Lively in the Lady Deadpool suit? Maybe Taylor Swift?  How will Jennifer Garner’s return as Elektra fit into the story? This movie can’t get here soon enough.

Deadpool & Wolverine hits theaters on July 26th.
