‘Citadel: Diana’ Teaser: Prime Video’s Spy Series Spinoff Heads To Italy This October

Remember Citadel? It’s okay if you don’t. The Prime Video spy series starred Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra, one sexy-ass duo if there ever was one. But the show wasn’t exactly a huge hit, which you would think would put a crimp in plans to expand the franchise to different locations around the world, which is what Amazon and producers the Russo Brothers wanted to do. However, those plans are moving forward with Citadel: Diana, which follows a different agent in the global spy organization.

Italian actress Matilda De Angelis leads the cast as Diana, an undercover Citadel agent trapped in rival organization Manticore after Citadel was destroyed. If she has any hope of surviving in deep cover, she’ll have to turn to an unexpected ally for help.

Lorenzo Cervasio, Maurizio Lombardi, Julia Piaton, Thekla Reuten, Giordana Faggiano, Daniele Paoloni, Bernhard Schütz, and Filippo Nigro co-star with De Angelis. Gina Gardini is showrunner and exec-producer.

Another spinoff set in India titled Citadel: Honey Bunny has already been filmed and stars Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

Citadel: Diana hits Prime Video on October 10th.

SYNOPSIS: Milan, 2030: Eight years ago, the independent global spy agency Citadel was destroyed by the powerful enemy syndicate, Manticore. Since then, Diana Cavalieri (Matilda De Angelis), an undercover Citadel agent, is alone, trapped behind enemy lines as a mole in Manticore. When she finally sees a way out and the chance to disappear forever, the only way to do so is trusting the most unexpected ally, Edo Zani (Lorenzo Cervasio), the heir of Manticore Italy and son of the head of the Italian organization, Ettore Zani (Maurizio Lombardi), who’s vying for leadership against the other European families.
