No one is surprised that the year’s most highly anticipated film took the top spot this weekend. What May surprise is the absolute powerhouse of a record breaking weekend that Deadpool & Wolverine. $205M domestic, $450M Worldwide and officially the highest debut weekend for an R-rated film.
2. Twisters – $35.3M/$154.9M
Glen Powell may have lost the top spot but I don’t think he’s going to be too worried about that. In what’s being a very tough year for most movies Twisters broke $150M domestic in only its second week.

Speaking of record breaking box office numbers, Inside Out 2 officially became the highest grossing animated film of all time over last week thanks to its stellar International numbers.
