Josh Brolin Joins Cast Of Rian Johnson’s ‘Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery’

The Wake Up Dead Man casting news took a bit of a breather for the weekend, but it’s Monday now and already it’s picked up in a big way. The latest to join Rian Johnson’s ensemble is Josh Brolin, adding even more star power to an already stacked cast.

Details on the film are a secret, of course. Johnson will write and direct the film, the third in his Knives Out mysteries. Brolin joins a line-up that includes Andrew Scott, Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Glenn Close, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington,  and Mila Kunis, with Daniel Craig returning as Benoit Blanc. How many more will Johnson add? Who knows?

Brolin is best known for his roles in The Goonies, No Country for Old Men, Sicario, Dune, and of course as Thanos in the Avengers movies. Does he really need an introduction? He’s arguably the biggest star to hop aboard the franchise.

There’s no release date yet for Knives Out 3 but expect it to arrive in 2025 on Netflix. [THR]
