Paul Walter Hauser Cast In Marvel’s ‘Fantastic Four’ And ‘The Naked Gun’ Reboot

Are we entering the age of Hauser? Paul Walter Hauser, that is. The actor and part-time pro wrestler is coming off his Emmy and Golden Globe-winning performance in Black Bird, and his casting as Chris Farley in Josh Gad’s upcoming biopic. But he’s now added two huge projects: a role in Marvel’s The Fantastic Four and the reboot of The Naked Gun.

Deadline reports that Hauser has joined The Fantastic Four cast in a mystery role. Hmmm…I’d love for him to play Mole Man. Or perhaps the voice of H.E.R.B.I.E., the team’s robot pal who began as a character for the animated series before debuting in the comics.

Hauser joins a cast led by Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Susan Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm, and Julia Garner as the Silver Surfer.

The Fantastic Four hits theaters on July 25th 2025 with Matt Shakman directing. Expect Doctor Doom, Galactus, and others to be cast soon.

Meanwhile, Deadline says Hauser has joined Liam Neeson in the reboot of slapstick comedy The Naked Gun from writer/director Akiva Schaffer. Hauser will play Police Captain Ed Hocken, Frank Drebin’s friend and partner, the role famously played by late actor George Kennedy. Also in the cast is Pamela Anderson as Drebin’s love interest. Dan Gregor and Doug Mand wrote the script along with Schaffer.

Coming up for Hauser is voicing Embarrassment in Pixar’s Inside Out 2.
