‘In A Violent Nature’ Trailer: An Unstoppable Killer Stalks The Woods In Chris Nash’s Horror Arriving This Month

So, there are rumors going around that at early screening of Chris Nash’s brutal slasher horror In a Violent Nature, some in the audience were so shaken up they started to vomit. Having seen the film myself at Sundance, and enjoying it, I have a pretty good idea what scene caused it, and I can’t wait for more to see it so they can have a similar reaction. This movie is going to f**k some folks up.

The concept is a slasher horror from the eyes of the killer. Think Friday the 13th from the perspective of Jason Voorhees. In A Violent Nature finds a vengeful corpse rising from the grave when a locket is removed, and he goes on a blood quest  against everyone until he gets it back.

There’s a kill in here that’s so gory I remember it driving a handful of press out of the room. I loved every bit of it.

The cast features no big names, which works in its favor. Ry Barrett, Andrea Pavlovic, Cameron Love, Reece Presley, Liam Leone, Charlotte Creaghan, Lea Rose Sebastianis, Sam Roulston, Alexander Oliver, and Lauren Taylor star.

Here’s the synopsis: When a locket is removed from a collapsed fire tower in the woods that entombs the rotting corpse of Johnny, a vengeful spirit spurred on by a horrific 60-year-old crime, his body is resurrected, and he becomes hellbent on retrieving it. The undead golem hones in on the group of vacationing teens responsible for the theft and proceeds to methodically slaughter them one by one in his mission to get it back – along with anyone in his way.

In a Violent Nature hits theaters on May 31st.
