‘Deadpool 3’ Adds ‘Succession’ Star Matthew Macfadyen

Those Succession fans who may have been wondering how the sniveling schemer Tom Wambsgans would survive in the MCU, they’re about to get their wish.  Matthew Macfadyen is the latest to join the cast of Deadpool 3 opposite Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, and the recently-cast Emma Corrin.

Of course, details on Macfadyne’s role are being kept a secret for now. Here’s hoping he’ll play an established Marvel character and can stick around for a while.

Behind the camera is Shawn Levy, who has worked with both Reynolds and Jackman before on films such as Free Guy and Real Steel. The script is by regular Deadpool duo Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

Madfadyen’s most recent big screen role was in the 2021 war drama Operation Mincemeat. So it looks like Macfadyen will be plenty busy after Succession’s final season. Deadpool 3 hits theaters on November 8th 2024.
