‘Past Lives’ Trailer: Celine Song’s Decades-Spanning Sundance Drama Arrives This Summer

One of the most talked about films at Sundance this year was Past Lives, Celine Song’s film about soulmates who repeatedly find life standing in the way of their being together. Greta Lee and Teo Yoo play the destined pair, joined by Ji Hye Yoon, John Magaro, and Choi Won-young.

Song directed and wrote the script, making her feature debut. Previously, she wrote for Amazon’s epic fantasy series The Wheel of Time. Greta Lee has been a central cast member on Russian Doll and The Morning Show, while Yoo appeared in Park Chan-wook’s latest, Decision to Leave.

Past Lives opens in theaters this summer. You can check out Cortland’s review here!

“Nora and Hae Sung, two deeply connected childhood friends, are wrest apart after Nora’s family emigrates from South Korea. Two decades later, they are reunited in New York for one fateful week as they confront notions of destiny, love, and the choices that make a life, in this heartrending modern romance.”
