‘Juniper’ Trailer: Charlotte Rampling Is A Grumpy Old Alcoholic In New Family Drama

At the age of 76, Charlotte Rampling is showing no signs of slowing down. The legendary actress is busier than ever and as commanding of the screen than ever, as seen in the new trailer for Juniper, a family drama from writer/director Matthew J. Saville.

Set in ’90s New Zealand, the film stars Rampling as an acerbic, alcoholic woman who finds herself under the care of her teenage grandson. Of course, things start off pretty testy, but eventually the two start to warm up to one another, especially since he can get her liquor.

Rampling is joined in the cast by George Ferrier, Marton Csokas, and Edith Poor. The film marks Saville’s feature debut.

Coming up for Rampling is Dune: Part Two, reprising her role as Gaius Helen Mohiam.

Juniper opens in theaters on February 24th before hitting Amazon and Apple TV on April 4th. It has played at multiple festivals since 2021 with strong reviews from critics.
